This series documents wildlife biologist Félix Boulanger of the Eeyou Marine Region Wildlife Board and boat captain Bernard Diamond during fieldwork on Rupert Bay in search of one of Canada’s most elusive birds: the Yellow Rail. The rail spends its life hidden in wetlands, moving silently through dense grasses. Even experienced ornithologists rarely see one. Very little is known about the Yellow Rail's migratory routes, and Rupert Bay may be a key stopover. Collecting data here helps build a clearer picture of the specie's movements and the role these northern mashes play in its survival.
